Fantuzzi Restoration Guide
Maintenance solutions for legacy Fantuzzi port machinery. Sourcing obsolete reach stacker parts for CS45KM and Reggiane spreaders.
1. The Challenge of Legacy Machines
Fantuzzi reach stackers, particularly the CS45KM and CS45KS models, were the backbone of global ports in the early 2000s. Since the brand’s acquisition by Terex (and later Konecranes), sourcing parts through official channels has become difficult and expensive. Many part numbers have been superseded or declared obsolete (NLA).
Zhenke Machinery bridges this gap. We are a specialized China forklift parts manufacturer with access to the original OEM suppliers that built the Fantuzzi legends. We don’t just sell parts; we cross-reference old Fantuzzi codes to modern, available equivalents.
CLARK TRANSMISSIONS
Many Fantuzzi machines use the Clark 32000 / 36000 series transmission, not Dana.
- ? Charging Pumps
- ? Control Valves
- ? Torque Converters
REGGIANE SPREADERS
Before standardizing on Elme, Fantuzzi used proprietary Reggiane spreaders.
- ? Custom Twistlocks
- ? Wear Pads (Bronze/Nylon)
- ? Gearboxes
HYDRAULIC CUSTOMIZATION
Obsolete pumps and cylinders can be reverse-engineered in our factory.
- ? Cylinder Re-chroming
- ? Custom Seal Kits
- ? Pump Alternatives
2. Reviving the Clark 32000 Transmission
A defining feature of older Fantuzzi side loaders and reach stackers is the Clark (later Spicer-Clark) transmission. Unlike the common Dana TE series, parts for the Clark 32000 are scarce. Common issues include converter overheating and clutch pack slippage.
We stock the essential Overhaul Kits for these transmissions, including the specific paper friction discs and steel plates that are often out of stock at major dealers. We also supply the modulation valves that control shift smoothness, often the culprit behind “jerky” operation.
3. Hydraulic Engineering: Beyond Obsolescence
Fantuzzi CS45 machines were notorious for their massive, custom-built hydraulic cylinders. Finding a brand-new OEM replacement for a 20-year-old lift cylinder is often impossible or economically unviable.
Zhenke’s Manufacturing Capability: We don’t just search for old stock; we remanufacture. Using the original Fantuzzi drawings, we produce replacement hydraulic cylinders with modern seal technology. Our chromed rods use a double-layer induction hardening process to resist the salt spray corrosion that killed the original units.
Legacy Fantuzzi valves often leak because standard O-rings don’t fit the worn grooves. We supply oversized, metric-customized seal kits made from high-grade Viton, specifically designed to seal older, pitted valve blocks on the CS/FDC series.

4. The Reggiane Legacy: Spreader Maintenance
Before switching to Elme, Fantuzzi utilized proprietary Reggiane spreaders. Parts for these are notoriously difficult to find. A Reggiane twistlock has a different shank geometry than a standard Elme or Bromma lock.
We have commissioned a forge to reproduce these specific Reggiane Twistlocks and their corresponding landing pins. This allows you to keep your vintage Fantuzzi side loader operational without upgrading to a $50,000 new spreader assembly.

5. Strategic Sourcing for Aging Fleets
Maintaining a fleet of Fantuzzi machines requires a strategic partner, not just a parts seller. We offer “Fleet Assessment” services where we analyze your specific model years and build a custom “Critical Spares Kit” containing the most likely failure points for that vintage—usually the Clark charging pump, the main lift cylinder seals, and the joystick potentiometer.
Don’t let obsolescence ground your fleet. With our wholesale forklift parts network, we keep the Fantuzzi legacy alive and lifting.
